April 2nd...World Autism Awareness Day

Autism: a mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts.

The Awareness Ribbon - The puzzle pattern reflects the complexity of the autism spectrum. The different colors and shapes represent the diversity of the people and families living with the condition. The brightness of the ribbon signals hope.
The Puzzle Piece - represents Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
In support of this day, I have designed and created this special project which I plan to wear. In my design, I added wire stitching to the outer edges of the puzzle piece referencing, “Hope”.

Please join us in wearing BLUE.
